Wedding budget spreadsheet: a free template and category checklist
A wedding budget works best when it tracks four numbers for every cost: what you expected, what you were quoted, what you have paid and what is still owed.
Set it up in four steps
- Agree a total you are comfortable spending, before you look at venues.
- List the categories below and give each one a rough estimate.
- Replace estimates with quotes as you book, so the total stays honest.
- Log every payment with its date, and note when the final balance is due.
